JOIN THE RIP CURL WOMEN IN BALI AS THEY HUNT BARRELS IN BIKINIS, FROM ULUWATU TO KERAMAS AND BACK. FEATURING BETHANY HAMILTON, ALANA BLANCHARD, NIKKI VAN DIJK AND OUR ENTIRE JUNIOR WOMEN’S TEAM.
Usually the phrase “bikinis, barrels and babes” is highly misleading. Maybe there are babes, maybe there are bikinis and maybe there are barrels, but very rarely are they found in combination.
When the Rip Curl Women landed in Bali, though, this unlikely phrase quickly became a reality. Kirra-Belle Olsson, Kobie Enright, Molly Picklum, Leah Thompson, Alyssa Spencer, Brisa Hennessy, Leilani McGonagle and Ella Williams descended on the tropical paradise and within hours, were in the water chasing barrels in their bikinis.
With Alana Blanchard, Nikki van Dijk and Bethany Hamilton landing soon, this is only the beginning.
In Episode One of our #MyBikini Bali trip, you saw the very best of our Women’s team land in Bali and chase barrels in bikinis. Here in Episode Two? Things get weird…
Between Kirra-Belle Olsson’s heavy reef scar from Keramas, to Molly Picklum and the attack of the monkeys, we thought it was high time to bring the role models in and show them how it’s done.
Enter Bethany Hamilton, Alana Blanchard and Nikki van Dijk. Mothers, professional surfers, World Tour competitors and long-time travellers… they’ve got a lot to teach the #MyBikini women, and it all begins now.
In Episode Two of My Bikini Bali, Bethany Hamilton, Alana Blanchard and Nikki van Dijk joined the rest of the Rip Curl Women’s team in Bali, on a mission to find barrels in bikinis. Turns out, they don’t like to waste any time.
Straight off the plane, the women flew straight in to the perfect swell for Uluwatu – one that was just big enough to get Padang working, no less.
The result? Some of the best sessions we’ve seen this trip, and some of the most memorable barrels these women have ever had. The perfect ending to a trip that just kept getting better and better.
It doesn’t get much more rad than this…
Thanks for tuning in. Now, go on, get out there and Do Rad Stuff in #MyBikini!
